Dan Air, cabin crew and founder of Confessions of a Trolley Dolly, has been operating flights for years. He revealed to Express.co.uk what are the worst kind of passengers and what should these be avoiding during Covid.

He explained: “Well apart from the obvious, the drunks, the stags and hen parties, the worst kind of passengers have to be the moaners.

“There are certain things that are simply out of our control.

“If the plane is delayed due to weather or a technical issue. If we’ve run out of the food or drink option you want.

“We can only apologise for these issues but we can’t change them and taking your frustrations out on us isn’t on,” he said.

“People have REAL issues in this world.

“Remember that you are privileged just to even be onboard an aircraft,” Dan said.

“These type of passengers would also be the worst passengers I’ve had.

“Thankfully in my 16 years of flying I’ve been pretty fortunate in terms of disruptive passenger events, touch wood,” he explained.

He also shared some insight on what passengers should do at all times during their flight to avoid catching Covid on the plane.

“Well first of all I’d say the first thing is to actually listen to your cabin crew.

“If we ask you to wear your mask, wear it. If we ask you to keep the aisles clear, keep it clear.

“If we ask you to stay seated and avoid movement in the cabin as much as possible, do it,” he said.

“Believe us when we say we’re not asking you to do these things because we want to wind you up.

“We’re doing it because it is part of our role onboard to keep you safe.

“And whether you agree with wearing masks or not or think Covid is a hoax, regardless we’re in the middle of a global pandemic so we need to all work together to get through this.”

On his blog, Dan shared some aeroplane ‘jetiquette’ which “should be studied just as closely as your safety card.”

The rule book includes not leaving children to play in the middle of the aisle, don’t expect cabin crew to lift the baggage for you as well as having the courtesy of taking your headphones out when talking to the crew.

The flight attendant also explained passengers should refrain from pressing the call bell unless it’s a real emergency.

Miguel Munoz, another crew member who has been flying the skies for over four years, has also shared some of the weirdest situations he had onboard.

From finding a dead chicken to someone’s ashes. As cabin crew, he has seen the weirdest and most bizarre situations while flying the skies.
