Netflix looking to hire flight attendant for private jet with salary of £300k

Anyone who’s ever wanted to be a flight attendant, but felt the salary was too low may be in luck.

Netflix is looking for cabin crew to work on its private jet – and you’ll be paid more than £300,000.

The average salary for a flight attendant in the UK is just £21,600, according to Indeed.

So, you’ll be paid more than 10 times the national average wage for doing to glam job.

You can be from anywhere in the world and still apply to work for the streaming giant which is based in San Jose California.

The lead flight attendant on the midsized jet will be paid up to $385,000 (£312,000) a year.

However, they must already be a trained flight attendant who knows about cabin and passenger safety and aircraft emergency evacuation protocols.

While working on the private jet, the flight attendant should perform pre-flight cabin, galley and flight deck checks plus delivery safety and emergency briefs.

You’ll also have to make sure the cabin is secure for taxi, take off and landing, like on a passenger plane.

When the plane is grounded you’ll need to attendant to the plane’s stocks, load the flight up – and so must be able to lift 30lbs – and go to company meetings.

On their website, Netflix wrote: "The Netflix Aviation department provides exceptional, safe, confidential air transportation.

"It is our goal to provide the most outstanding aviation experience available, by using the best people and the best equipment, and providing the highest level of customer service possible.

"The aviation team helps Netflix reach the world more efficiently and effectively so the company can continue to create joy around the world."

Sounds like a dream to us!

Applicants must be flexible and able to work on weekends, bank holidays and other tricky days of the year.

The job advert notes: "As a Netflix Flight Attendant you are expected to embrace our culture, which places a strong emphasis on operating with Freedom and Responsibility, with independence and a lot of self-motivation.

"This is a lead position for a Northern California-based Flight Attendant."

You also have to be free to travel both domestically within the US and internationally.

The pay on offer ranges from £60,000 to $3,865,000 (£48,000-£312,000), but you will likely have to relocate to the United States and must have a background check performed on you before starting the role.
