A double-decker school bus bought off eBay has been transformed into an amazing staycation hotel.
Bob Johnson spent three years renovating Olive, a Dublin double-decker bus, turning it into an incredible staycationing home in Hampshire that even offers passengers (and guests) the unusual experience of sleeping on the top deck of the vehicle.
Last used as a school bus, this vintage vehicle is now fully decked out with a kitchen, sitting and dining area and full wet room, Mirror reports.
There is even a separate toilet in the bus driver's cab, which some visitors described as the "best bit" of their whole holiday.
One reviewer said: “It totally exceeded our expectations, with the amount of space, how cosy it was and how many creature comforts are packed into this awesome bus!
“We all slept so well in the very comfy beds and little touches like the heated towel rail and delicious fruit loaf left out for us all really made it so memorable.
“The driver's cab toilet was possibly the best bit of the whole weekend.”
The bus is perched in a field just outside Bramshott, Hampshire, offering amazing panoramic views of the countryside.
Bob said: “This is the ideal holiday spot for visitors to North East Hampshire who want to stay somewhere a little different. With every high end amenity you need for a trip to the countryside, Olive is a great alternative to the usual hotels and cottages.
“Every day feels like an adventure from inside Olive, great for younger families and older friend groups, and anyone with a spirit of creativity.”
While sleeping on a bus is usually frowned upon, or leaves you missing your stop, Olive’s top deck sees an open plan sleeping space which can accommodate up to five guests.
Outside, guests have the run of the paddock, with a patio, fire-pit and barbecue for al fresco dining.
Beyond the accommodation, there are secluded country walks around three lakes and a wishing well, and the popular Prince of Wales pub to a pitstop!
Guests can stay in Olive for a minimum of three nights, from £160 per night.
Lisa Markham stayed in Olive in February last year, and said: “Absolutely loved my stay on Olive, she's an utter beauty, deceptively spacious, Bob is a total star, nothing is too much trouble. It's a very peaceful location.
“I have a young family with two toddlers. Bob was very honest with me before I booked and warned me about the log burner but I decided to book and was glad I did.
“The kids loved the bus and the country walks or bear hunts! My teen loved watching the horses and I was well at home getting my cave man on with the fire. Hope to see you again one day Olive.”
