For beer lovers, a newly unveiled hotel in the heart of Lancashire may be their new dream destination as it offers a break that’s ‘all about beer’.
The 1823 Spinning Block Hotel, in Clitheroe, is becoming a popular place for staycations due to its new ‘Beercation’ package.
Starting at £135, this packages gives guests the opportunity to sample ales at the notorious Bowland Beer Hall, along with rustic and comfy beds at The Spinning Block Hotel, reports 2Chill.
The new Holmes Mill development has gained fame for being home to the longest bar in the North, not to mention its award-winning pub and brewery, serving some of the best beer and ale Lancashire can offer.
The £135 price tag includes a night in one of the venue’s classic double bedrooms, £50 worth of beer tokens to spend at the on-site tavern, an ‘ale trail’ map and an in-room beer gift to start you off.
However, even without this deal, guests are sure to be charmed by the boutique hotel’s rooms.
Each bedroom in the Ribble Valley development, which is part of the James’ Places group, has been individually designed and decorated.
According to a spokesperson for the venue, "no two look the same" with each room containing different décor, features or furniture.
Much like the Bowland Beer Hall, the interior of the hotel – which is actually the oldest building on the Holmes Mill site to be restored – is inspired by the site’s original features.
Owner James Warburton is credited as the ‘design influence’ behind it all.
He said: “The inspiration for the bedrooms came from everything we could see around us in the original industrial interiors – the peeling paints, the rusting metal, the exposed timbers and the bare concrete.
“We wanted to recreate the feel of the lost industrial heritage, just without the harsh realities of it.
“We think we've achieved the right mix. Modern day creature comforts with more than a nod to the building’s history."
Despite the delightfully rustic décor, rooms are certainly not behind the times.

All rooms feature walk-in showers and vanity units, while widescreen TVs and tea and coffee-making facilities are also present.
As well as the classic doubles, there are two family rooms, two suites and a fancy penthouse.
Located at the top of the venue’s tower, the Spinning Block Penthouse comes complete with a lounge area and work space – plus stunning views over Clitheroe.
The hideaway features an in-room bath tub too, making it perfect for intimate getaways.
Those who prefer something stronger than beer can also visit the onsite Distillery Bar & Grill, which serves spirits and modern British cuisine options like steak and seafood.

Inside 'haunted' castle where spooky sightings have made visitors flee in fear
Despite being nestled in the picturesque Ribble Valley, Holmes Mill is only 34 miles from Manchester – just over an hour’s drive. Leeds is just a little bit further, at an hour and a half by car.
Accrington residents, meanwhile, are only a short 25 minute drive from their own ‘Beercation’.
The Greenacre Street venue is also a mere few minutes’ walk from the train station, for those coming from further afield.
In addition to the Bowland Beer Hall and Spinning Block Hotel, there’s a food hall, gelataria – or ice cream parlour – and even a four-screen Everyman Cinema on the Holmes Mill site.
