Holidays abroad have been given the green light to some destinations by the UK government. On July 4, the UK revealed a list of countries that Britons can travel to without facing quarantine rules on their return to England. The list included British favourites such as Spain, France and Italy.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website reads: “On 4 July our travel advice changed, with exemptions for travelling to certain countries and territories that no longer pose a high risk for British travellers.”
It added: “We continue to advise against non-essential international travel, except to countries and territories listed.
“We also currently advise against cruise ship travel.”
The FCO added: “We are monitoring the international situation very closely and keeping this advice under constant review so that it reflects our latest assessment of risks to British people.
“We take a range of factors into account.
“For coronavirus, this includes the incidence rate and the resilience of healthcare provision in each country.”
In a recent poll from The Points Guy, Greece has come out on top as the summer destination of choice.
Flights to the holiday hotspot and its surrounding islands are known for being popular with Britons.
With flights from the UK to Greece expected to resume this week, there are some great deals on offer.

Travellers may also be asked to take a coronavirus test and undergo a “period of self-isolation”.
