Holidays abroad have been given the green light to some destinations by the UK government. On July 4, the UK revealed a list of countries that Britons can travel to without facing quarantine rules on their return to England. The list included British favourites such as Spain, France and Italy.

TUI plans to restart holidays to Greece this week
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website reads: “On 4 July our travel advice changed, with exemptions for travelling to certain countries and territories that no longer pose a high risk for British travellers.”
It added: “We continue to advise against non-essential international travel, except to countries and territories listed.
“We also currently advise against cruise ship travel.”
The FCO added: “We are monitoring the international situation very closely and keeping this advice under constant review so that it reflects our latest assessment of risks to British people.
“We take a range of factors into account.
“For coronavirus, this includes the incidence rate and the resilience of healthcare provision in each country.”
In a recent poll from The Points Guy, Greece has come out on top as the summer destination of choice.
Flights to the holiday hotspot and its surrounding islands are known for being popular with Britons.

Routes from London Luton to Corfu, Crete and Rhodes are all available for under £50, according to The Points Guy.
London Luton to Corfu is available for just £29.98 return, while a return flight to Rhodes is just £34.
For slightly more, a return flight from London Gatwick to Mykonos is also available for just £71.79.
The cheapest routes are available through budget airlines Wizz Air and easyJet.

According to the FCO, from July 4, Greece was exempt from the FCO advice against all non-essential international travel.
However, visitors arriving in Greece will have to complete certain requirements.
The FCO website reads: “If you travel to Greece, you will need to complete a Passenger Locator Form at least 48 hours before travel.”
Travellers may also be asked to take a coronavirus test and undergo a “period of self-isolation”.
