With many people working and attending school from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, hotels and resorts around the world are offering travelers convenient extended stay packages featuring discounted rates and elevated services and amenities allowing them a welcome and safe change of scenery. Here are some of the properties rolling out special promotions.
Playa Hotels & Resorts
Playa Hotels & Resorts’ recently launched Work & Learn From Paradise program allows guests to book an extended and upgraded stay at a reduced rate now through December 22, 2020. Participating hotels include Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall as well as the adults-only Hyatt Zilara Cancun, Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and Sanctuary Cap Cana. Guests staying 14 or more nights will also receive a number of awesome perks, including suite upgrade, a dedicated office space with high-speed Wi-Fi, on-site IT support, complimentary laundry services and much more.
MGM Resorts International
Bellagio and ARIA guests seeking an extended stay in Las Vegas can take advantage of MGM Resorts International’s “Viva Las Office” package featuring a slew of amenities and benefits, including flexible check-in and check-out, an Executive Assistant, VIP pool passes, daily food and beverage credit and exclusive discounts to activities in and around the city, including helicopter and jeep tours.
Palace Resorts has extended its Kids & Teens Stay Free promotion through the end of 2020, inviting families to “Make Paradise Your Virtual Classroom.” The offer applies to children age 17 or under, who can stay, play and eat for free. Palace’s complimentary Wi-Fi throughout all resorts also means that parents can work remotely while the kids attend class and learn online.
Velas Resorts is offering the Home to Grand Extended Stay Program at its Grand Velas properties in Los Cabos, Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit featuring a private beach and private office area, exclusive dining experiences and a 10 percent rate discount, among other benefits. The program is available for stays of 14 nights or more at the aforementioned resorts for travel through December 18, 2020.
Club Wyndham is encouraging Americans to work and school from anywhere this coming fall with its “Back to School, Back to Your Bucket List” vacation package. Families who book between August 24 and October 31, 2020, for stays between September 14 and December 18, 2020, can save up to 30 percent at all-suite Club Wyndham resorts all over the country, including Club Wyndham Bentley Brook in Hancock, Massachusetts; Club Wyndham Kingsgate in Williamsburg, Virginia; Club Wyndham Park City Utah; Club Wyndham Branson at The Meadows in Branson, Missouri and Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. Anguilla will begin accepting visitor applications on August 21 and the Caribbean island’s Altamer Resort is celebrating by launching the Live, Work, Play and Learn package starting at $30,000 per week for stays less than one month and $110,000 per month for stays of one month or longer. A minimum stay of 14 days is required. Designed for those with a mighty budget, the package includes accommodations at Altamer’s five-bedroom, six-bathroom Antilles Pearl villa along with workstations arranged upon request, Wi-Fi, daily continental breakfast, private pool and beach access, private tennis and yoga sessions, a private excursion of the guest’s choice and a one-day private island charter.
