Bloke gets ‘scammed’ in beach massage by being charged 100k – three times

Soaking up the sun on the beach and getting a massage are most likely at the top of a lot of people’s lists for relaxation.

So when you get to do both at once, the luck is surely in.

However TikTok user Kegs has claimed he was “scammed” when lounging on a beach in Bali.

The Indonesian island is known for its beautiful beaches, breath-taking jungles and mouth-watering food.

Instagram influencers often travel to Bali in their droves to get that perfect shot – but this lad had a slightly different experience.

In a TikTok clip that has racked up 2.7million views, Kegs rested on his front as three ladies provided a massage as he relaxed on the beach.

Dream worthy, right?

But Kegs alleged he only said yes to one – and then they charged him $100,000 (£82,000) each.

“Point of view: You get scammed at Dreamland beach in Bali. One woman offers a massage for $100,000 and you say yes.

“Next thing there’s three of them on you and they demand $100,000 each, proper hustlers,” Kegs wrote along with a laughing emoji.

With another chuckling emoji, he alleged in the caption: “They know what they’re doing.”

Fear not though…

Kegs didn’t fork out hundreds of thousands of dollars for the intense beach massage despite using a dollar sign in the clip.

The lad paid in the national currency, Indonesian Rupiah, which works out about $20 or £16 for the massage from the three women.

Since going viral, many people have noted that the cost is not that much – and advised him on how to avoid similar situations in the future.

One person commented: “That’s Bali alright.”

Another user added: “That looks like it’s worth every penny.”

Whilst a third person voiced: “Just ignore anything you don’t want.”

Someone else related: “That’s why I never make eye contact. If three of them come and say they will do it, that’s fair but…”

Meanwhile, a fifth user questioned: “Your first time travelling, rookie?”

Kegs defended the clip and commented on how he found their method of getting cash “funny.”

He explained: “Can everyone chill out. I'm not complaining about the price, I paid them all. Just saying it’s funny the way they did it. It’s not that deep.”
