Masks no longer required at Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort will no longer require fully vaccinated guests to wear masks indoors or outdoors, starting Feb. 12.

“Guests who have not been vaccinated will be encouraged to wear face coverings while indoors,” Universal said.

With the rise of the Covid-19 omicron variant, Universal had reinstated a mask mandate over the holiday season, requiring all guests to wear face coverings in all indoor public locations and on all attractions, from entering the queue to exiting. Masks have been optional outdoors.

In a statement issued Friday, Universal said it made the latest change “based on local trends and conditions.”
