Virgin Voyages has hired a chief growth officer as the line readies to welcome two new ships to the fleet in 2023.
Isis Ruiz will focus on Virgin’s growth strategy, including performance and analytics, paid media, acquisition email, e-commerce, the travel partner portal and loyalty program.
She will report to Nirmal Saverimuttu, Virgin Voyages’ president and chief experience officer, who reports to CEO Tom McAlpin.
Ruiz most recently was chief commercial officer at American Queen Voyages. Before that, Ruiz spent 11 years at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in several marketing roles.
The Resilient Lady, Virgin Voyages’ third ship, is expected to debut on May 14, followed by Brilliant Lady in December of 2023.
