The Procedure

brain SPECT imaging camera

A SPECT image is completed by administering a “tracer” intravenously.  The tracer is used to measure the blood flow and activity patterns of the brain.  This can determine the areas of the brain that are functioning in a healthy manner, but also areas that work too hard and areas that do not work hard enough.
